I’ve left this little spot down the bottom for me to ramble about various things when I feel inspired. Most of the time what I have to say doesn’t fit with a project blog, nor does it really warrant a news entry. This is really just a good place for me to have a moan or be all poignant when the mood takes me.
So today it’s ebay. I find the whole thing frustrating sometimes. Not because I get outbid by snipers (though that is rather irksome). It’s more down to people just not making the most of it. The regular one is something labelled as a “bits box”. Great stuff, I’ve made fantastic purchases this way. But then the only photo is from about ten feet away and it has a starting price of ?30. It’s just no use.
There’s the usual one of “professionally painted”. Really? Did you pay someone to paint it? Or did you paint it and people usually pay you for your painting services? No? Then it’s not professionally painted is it? Muppet. Much more accurate, though granted perhaps not as effective would be “looks ok, in a certain light, from a distance, if you have cataracts.”
Lastly is the horrible decision where to play the good samaritan. I always find things listed incorrectly, and you just know it’s someone’s mum selling on their old kit. And you think do I contact them, let them know what they’ve really got? Or do I just pick up the fifteen mislabelled Zoats for a fraction of their worth and sell them on for profit and win? I don’t go on ebay for moral dillemas dammit.
